If you’ve Acer Aspire M1100 and you want to downgrade your operating system to Microsoft Windows XP, you may need below driver for installing audio driver (This method work on Windows Xp Service Pack 2):
- Your dekstop PC using Realtek HD Audio driver (ALC888 chip with AMD chipset).
You may download Acer Aspire M1100 chipset from here; this driver includes southbridge chipset driver and video driver).
- Install driver and reboot your laptop.
- Installing HD UAA driver from microsoft (KB888111) here
- After installing MS UAA, you have to install audio drivers, get it from here
- Reboot it when you’ve installed drivers.

For cleaning your audio driver installation, you may need to uninstall your previous audio driver first.
