Client Security Solution Problem in the Lenovo Thinkpad Laptop

The one Lenovo user getting a problem while try using Client Security Solution the password manager. To make it work he already has the Windows password but has no TPM password. As the program suggest to clearing it through the BIOS setup utility then he’s go to find out but there is no pertinent for it at all.

Technically, Client Security Solution is use to clear the chip system. Whereas this “clear security chip” option is not appear in BIOS, so might you can find it. Which mean any ThinkPad systems with a Security Chip running Microsoft Windows Vista, XP, 2000 or ME may be affected by this symptom.

However, according from the Client Security Solution 8.2 Deployment Guide, it said: if you want to clear the chip in F1 BIOS, you must be started the system by use cold boot. If you attempt this process after a warm reboot you will not be able to clear the chip.

Lenovo Thinkpad T61 Turbo Memory Problem

First time getting Lenovo Thinkpad T61, the user said all works fine. Until then, after he’s update T61 turbo memory driver to 1.9.0.1006, ReadyDrive function always disabled. Although he’s try to ticked and restarted machine, but still not working. While check with Intel, it said “If the system has an Intel® 82801IR I/O Controller Hub (ICH9R), Microsoft Windows ReadyDrive is not supported”.

T61 8889ad3 Intel Turbo Memory Driver that disabling ReadyDrive function since updated system to 1.9.0.1006 version sounds like it’s indeed the ReadyDrive unsupported by the T61 newest system. To make it
works at the first you need to roll back your Thinkpad turbo memory driver version to v.1.5.0.1013 (you can get below this post).

When roll back to the v.1.5.0.1013 is done, you need to be sure it’s work properly. If everything is okay, now you can install T61 turbo memory driver to 1.9.0.1006 back again.

Download Intel Turbo Memory Driver v.1.5.0.1013 here
